Our partner school, Southbourne School of English, is a family-run institution founded in 1966. The school is located in a typical English residential area of the coastal town of Bournemouth, just a ten-minute walk from the sea. The school building features 22 modern classrooms equipped with interactive smartboards and air conditioning. The latest facilities create bright and airy learning spaces where studying is enjoyable. Outside the classrooms, students have access to a large café area, a library, a cinema room and a spacious garden.
Summer Language Course
The Southbourne School of English has been running junior courses since 1966 and has extensive experience in teaching and accommodating children and teenagers. The summer course takes place from mid-June to the end of August.
The programme is designed for students aged 10 to 15 and can be booked for a minimum duration of one week. Classes take place from Monday to Friday, with a total of 15 hours of English lessons per week, held either in the morning or in the afternoon. In addition to the lessons, students can enjoy an exciting activity programme as well as various excursions.

Host family
By choosing this option, you will live with a carefully selected host family (all host families are located near the school). The host family will offer you breakfast and dinner, and you'll have your lunch served at the school's restaurant.
The programme for your free time consists of a multitude of activities:
Sport: Tennis, Hockey, Football, Basketball, Volleyball, Badminton, Swimming Pool, Table Tennis etc.
There will also be various excursions, such as a walk in the nature, a visit to the market, a mini-golf trip or a trip to the adventure park.
You'll also have the opportunity to visit the city and many other things.
Recreation programme
Tennis, hockey, football, basketball, volleyball, athletics, badminton, swimming, cricket, swimming, ping pong, "rounders" (collective sport similar to baseball).
Evening programme
Welcome party: "Find someone who", treasure hunt, karaoke, barbecue, movie night, boom, outdoor games, Mr & Mrs Bournemouth, ping-pong tournament, quiz ..
Excursions
Every week, half-day and full-day excursions are organised to:
London, Oxford, Stonehenge, Bath, Winchester, ...
Excursions to London take place every fortnight.
Airport transfer
The transfer from Heathrow Airport is included in the price. Please ensure your flight arrives on Sunday between 10am and 5pm. For the return trip, please book your flight on Sunday between 10am and 7pm.
