Language Study Holiday on the French Riviera for Teenagers
Juan les Pins is a charming seaside resort next to Cannes, famous for its jazz festival and its well-known visitors (Ernest Hemingway and F. Scott Fitzgerald used to come there during the Roaring Twenties). Our language school partner organizes there, every summer, a vacation camp for teenagers who want to enjoy a maximum comfort while learning French.
In the morning, participants will go to the school's building, le Château (The Castle) and we'll be treated like kings and queens during the rest of the day: there's a large swimming pool in the hotel, the beach is only a few minutes walk away and the city center is also nearby...
Classes in small groups and a rich activity program (including boat trips, scuba diving) and excursions to Monaco, Saint-Tropez and amusement parks - teenagers coming from all around the world have a great time every year, and discover one of the most beautiful location of the French Riviera!

Castel Arabel
The Castel Arabel hotel-club is perfectly suited for teenagers who want to enjoy under the sun and have fun in the swimming pool…. Facilities also include a TV room, a nice terrace, a café and a large garden.
Two or four participants share the same comfortable room with bathroom, air conditioning and terrace or balcony. Private rooms are offered as an option (please see the registration form)
Breakfast and dinner are served at the hotel. At lunch time, participants will eat in the school's building.
Residence Aragon
Five minutes’ walk away from the Castel Arabel (where the activities take place), participants might be accommodated in the Residence Aragon, a smaller building (28 rooms, studio-type in total) with a large terrace on the roof.
These studios, either single or double, are equipped by a mini kitchenette, with bathroom, air-conditioned, TV, Wi-Fi… Students accommodated in the Aragon Residence will eat their breakfast and diner at the Castel Arabel.
Residence Astor
Just a short walk from Castel Arabel (where the activities take place), participants may also be accommodated in the Provençal-style residence Aragon. This elegant building combines charm, comfort, and tranquility – the perfect balance between being close to the action and enjoying a relaxing retreat.
The residence is located about 10 minutes on foot from the beaches and the lively centre of Juan-les-Pins, and just 2 minutes from Castel Arabel. After an active day, the quiet garden and spacious terrace provide ideal spaces to unwind.
Accommodation is in shared rooms (3–4 people), each equipped with a private bathroom and air conditioning – ensuring both comfort and a sociable atmosphere.
The three types of accommodations are offered for the same price. In both buildings, a camp counsellor is present at night at the same floor as the participants (minimum of one staff for ten students at every moment).

Educational aspect:
To make their stay in a French family a success, the students must attempt to express and communicate in French as much as possible and try to forget their own language, culture, and habits.
One of the great advantages of living with a family is that the students can experience everyday situations in France.
The students also learn a great deal about the French way of life and civilization, if they are prepared to make an effort to adapt the family environment.
The family will surely also have questions to ask about life in the student’s own country, as well as his culture and traditions.
Additional information:
Students should be aware that when they enter someone’s home as a guest, they must inevitably sacrifice a little independence and personal freedom. They have to do their best to adapt to their new family lifestyle.
It is important that the students go out with the telephone number of their host family.
If a student damages, breaks something or loses the host family’s keys, he/she will have to reimburse the host family directly or use his/her private insurance, because it is his/her responsibility!
Students have to keep their rooms clean and tidy throughout their stay.
20 lessons of 45 minutes per week, Monday to Friday from 9am to 12.30pm. On the first day there will be a placement test. For a one-week stay only 16 lessons are being taught.
What awaits you in the afternoon: excursion to a nearby city (Cannes, Monaco, Nice), one afternoon on a private beach and various activities (sailing or paddle boarding, scuba diving in the swimming pool, boat trips, karting, Lasergame, workshops and cooking classes)
And every evening : barbeque, disco party, games, cabarets, performances...
