Learn English in Malta for Teenagers Aged 11 to 16
Sun, sea and English: Malta offers the ideal setting for a language stay in the Mediterranean. English is one of the country’s official languages alongside Maltese, so you will encounter and use it not only in the classroom but also in everyday life.
The Junior Camp at our partner school is located in St. Paul’s Bay, in the north of the island. This popular seaside town combines typical Maltese island life with a lively atmosphere and provides an ideal starting point for discovering Malta with other international students.
During your stay, you improve your English in an international environment while having plenty of opportunities to use the language outside the classroom. Together with young people from different countries, you discover beaches, coastal towns and some of the island’s cultural and historical highlights.
If you are looking for even more action, you can add a watersports or diving programme to your stay. This is a great way to combine learning English with sun, sea and new experiences in Malta.
The language stay offers a varied combination of English, international camp life and Mediterranean island atmosphere – ideal for teenagers who want to improve their language skills while discovering Malta.

Improve your English with 15 hours of language lessons per week. The course includes 20 lessons per week and is specially designed for young learners. Lessons take place in international groups, giving you the opportunity to practise and develop your English together with students from different countries.
Before the course begins, you complete an online placement test so that you can be placed in the appropriate class for your language level.

English Course 2027 – Day Programme without Accommodation (11–16 years)

The Day Programme is ideal for young people travelling to Malta with their family and arranging their own accommodation. The English course includes 20 lessons or 15 hours per week and is complemented by a varied activity programme.
Before the course begins, you complete an online placement test so that you can be placed in the appropriate class for your language level.

Important information:
All Day Programme participants must attend a compulsory welcome meeting on Sunday evening at the Junior Residence. A parent or accompanying guardian must also attend. Important information about the camp and the weekly programme will be provided during the meeting.
3-Star Hotel – BELS Junior Residence
The BELS Junior Residence is located in Qawra, St. Paul’s Bay, close to the language centre and only around 100 metres from the seafront promenade. The residence occupies a separate area of a 3-star hotel and provides a comfortable and supervised environment for young students during their language stay.
The hotel has around 170 rooms arranged around the swimming pool. The rooms are approximately 22 m² and can be reached by lift. Students stay in shared rooms with a private bathroom. Facilities include a balcony, air conditioning, TV, hairdryer, fridge, safe and free Wi-Fi. A maximum of four students share a room.
Residence facilities include:

Full board is included in the Full Package and consists of breakfast, lunch and dinner every day. BELS group leaders also stay at the residence and are available to support and supervise students during the day and at night.
Students of the same gender are accommodated together. Where possible, BELS also takes similar ages and different nationalities into consideration when allocating rooms, encouraging students to speak English outside the classroom as well.
Please note: A €50 cash damage deposit is required upon arrival. It will be refunded at the end of the stay provided that no damage has occurred.

This is a sample program. Activities and excursions may change due to bad weather, force majeure beyond our control or other circumstances.
Activities
After class, participate in exciting programmes and activities designed specifically for fun and adventure for 10-16 year olds.
Take advantage of our unique water sports programme and become the queen or king of the seas!
We offer special sports packages with three 120 minute lessons a week. You have the choice between sailing or windsurfing (equipment and teaching materials are included in the price). The water sports lessons take place in Mellieħa. Those who cannot choose between one sport or the other have the opportunity to participate in our two-week water sports course. This consists of 2 lessons of sailing, 2 lessons of windsurfing and 1 lesson of kayaking. The above offers are geared towards young, motivated teens with little or no experience and are only available in the summer programme. All participants must take out a travel and water sports insurance. In addition, all participants must be able to swim.
Evening Programme
The evening programme is also jam packed! After a hearty and healthy dinner, you can recharge your batteries. Every Monday there is a BBQ right on the beach - after which, those who want can jump into the sea after dark - fully supervised, of course! Afterwards, you will have different options every night: the Golden Bay by night, a Bugibba and Mdina photo tour, a sports evening, international student party, boat party, walks to St. Paul's Bay or just a quiet evening during one of the free evenings.

Transfer from the airport
The transfer to and from Malta International Airport is included in the price.
