Valletta alone makes your Maltese trip worthwhile as the entire city is a UNESCO  World Heritage Site!

Throughout its long history (dating back at least 5000 years!), Malta has been home to many different people and cultures. In present day Malta, the pleasant serenity of the inhabitants, the architecture and its various culinary delights still testify to the influence of the Greeks, Romans, Arabs, English and Italians. An English colony until 1964, Malta has since been an independent state, with English & Maltese both remaining official languages.
