At the friLingue Ski Camp in Valais, you combine fun on the snow with an interactive language course in groups of around 6 participants.
Hit the slopes at one of the most exciting ski camps in Switzerland in the Pays du St. Bernard! Would you like to enjoy 15 hours of ski or snowboard lessons combined with 12 hours of French, English, or German language classes? And also benefit from full board with homemade meals, fun excursions, and an evening program together with other young people your age? Then the friLingue ski camps are perfect for you!
The friLingue Ski Camp is located in Liddes (Lower Valais), about 25 minutes from Martigny and Verbier. Three small, charming ski areas are part of the Pays du St-Bernard region. The Vichères-Liddes ski resort is less than 5 minutes from the chalet. Far from the tourist crowds and the chaos of beginners, you can still ski and snowboard there in a relaxed atmosphere.
Ski and snowboard lessons for beginners and advanced participants, as well as French, German and English language classes in groups of around 6 students.
The two other ski areas, Champex-Lac and La Fouly, are about 30 minutes away and are also included in the ski pass, which is already included in the the price.
The friLingue Ski Camp includes:

Our spacious chalet "Relais de Dranse", renovated in 2014, is situated in Liddes, Saint Bernard, in a wonderfully quiet location on the Dranse, a headstream of the river Rhone, about 5 minutes below the pass road to the Aosta Valley in Italy. Sprawling countryside and no passing traffic make it an absolutely perfect place to relax in comfort and warmth following a hard day's skiing. When it comes to sleeping, our chalet has a range of bedrooms that sleep between 4 and 8 persons in comfortable bunkbeds.
Auberge des Alpes
Auberge des Alpes is a cozy hotel nestled in the picturesque mountain village of Liddes in Switzerland.
It is located just a 10-minute walk from our camp, where all the meals, classes, and activities will take place.
Whether you're here to explore the stunning natural beauty of the Swiss Alps or to relax and unwind in a peaceful mountain setting, we look forward to welcoming you to our hotel.
This is a sample programme. Activities and excursions may change depending on weather and other factors beyond our control.
As well as skiing (or snowboarding) and language learning, you'll get explore the region during two excursions each week:
LASER TAG AND LAUSSANE
Following a morning of laser tag in Vevey, we'll head to Lausanne in the afternoon. Lying on the banks of Lake Geneva, with a stunning view of the Alps, Lausanne is home to the International Olympic Committee HQ and the Olympic Museum. The city is also home to art museums and galleries, and the medieval old town is well-known for its pedestrianised shopping streets.
SION
Rising up from the base of the Rhône Valley, the Valais' capital city is a perfect blend of the old and new. Despite being typified by four hill-top castles that tower above the old town, Sion also takes on a deceptively modern appearance in some places and boasts numerous dining options.
WATER PARK AND MONTREUX
Following a trip to an indoor, Caribbean themed water park in the morning, we'll spend the afternoon in Montreux. This picturesque resort town on the east of Lake Geneva, is home to the world-famous Montreux Jazz Festival, which takes place every year in July. The town's celebrated lake side promenade is colourfully decorated with flowers, trees and sculptures.
EVENING PROGRAMME
When you're not out on the slopes, in class or out on an excursion, we've planned out an evening programme in the chalet for you to enjoy. This includes:

SKI EQUIPMENT RENTAL (ski/snowboard, helmet, ski shoes & ski poles) - 150 CHF per week
INSURANCE: (only if not already subscribed) - 50 CHF per week
LAUNDRY SERVICE (only available for bookings of 2 weeks or more): 40 CHF
In special cases, we offer a laundry service for stays of only 1 week. Please contact us by email or phone.

EXTRA WEEK:

EXTRA SKIING OR SNOWBOARDING DAY IN VERBIER:
Only 20 minutes drive from our campsite is one of the most famous world’s winter resorts Verbier. Experience amazing slopes of the 4 Vallées for a price of 150 CHF.
Included in the price: transport (both ways), ski pass, snack, and supervision. For intermediate and advanced skiers/snowboarders only!
AIRPORT TRANSFERS:
(for students coming from abroad countries)
A member of our team welcomes the young participant at the airport and takes him/her to the camp together with other students. The last day, he or she is accompanied back to the airport. Please make sure you book your arrival and departure flights on a Sunday and inform us as soon as you can about the details. The flight is not included in the price.
1. Geneva: Every Sunday - this transfer is included in the price!
- Arrival between 10am and 4pm
- Departure between 12pm and 6pm
Transfers on Sunday outside theses hours - 400 CHF each way
Transfers any time between Monday and Saturday - 500 CHF each way
friLingue offers an UNACCOMPANIED MINOR SERVICE at the cost of 100 CHF each way for incoming minor students. Please check your airline's age restriction guidelines. You may find further information on the Unaccompanied Minor Service by clicking on the following link: here.
TRANSFER BY TRAIN FROM ZURICH OR BERN:
(for Swiss participants)
A member of our team waits for the participants in Zurich or Bern (each time at the main train station) and takes them to the camp along with other children and teenagers (by bus or train). At the end of the week, the participants are accompanied back to Zurich or Bern (again, to the main train station) until their parents (or another adult designed by the parents) wait for them.
Price (per way): 80 CHF from or to Zurich, 60 CHF from or to Bern (price includes the train ticket)
Price (per way) for participants with a General Abonnement (GA): 25 CHF from or to Zurich, 20 CHF from or to Bern.
Please note that for any late change (10 days before the camps or less) after booking this service (cancellation or other destination), friLingue will have to charge administration fees (40 CHF).
ARRIVAL/DEPARTURES:
Arrivals are on Sundays between 5 and 6pm at the chalet where friendly members of our staff will be waiting to welcome you and show you to your room Departures are every Saturday after the excursion between 3.30 and 4pm at the train station of that week's excursion location. The exact time and location will be confirmed by the camp leader during the week. It is also possible for parents or guardians to collect their children directly from the camp either on Friday evening or on Saturday morning before 10am, we just kindly ask that you notify the camp leader in advance.
