Friplica – The Peer-to-Peer Learning Camp by friLingue

Learn independently, teach others, and discover new ways of learning. A camp that’s different.

At Friplica, we believe that those who teach others learn the most themselves. That’s why our camp works a little differently from traditional study or tutoring camps. Instead of fixed lessons and schedules, we focus on self-directed learning, mutual support, and personal responsibility. Friplica is designed for young people aged 14 to 18 who want to use their study time meaningfully, try out new approaches, and have fun at the same time.

How does the camp work?

Mornings: Learning on your own – but never alone (09:00–12:30)
Each participant brings their own goals and study materials – whether it’s exam prep, homework, or personal projects. Strong students support others: those who are confident in maths, French or English help those who are struggling. This creates an inspiring atmosphere where everyone learns from one another. An experienced camp leader or coach guides the group, providing structure, motivation, and support when needed.
After a short break, the focused learning continues.

Afternoons: Community, movement, and relaxation
After a productive morning, it’s time to get outside!
Participants join the regular friLingue afternoon programme – with sports, excursions, workshops, and adventure activities. This keeps the perfect balance between focus and free time, showing that productivity and relaxation go hand in hand.

Evenings: 30-minute “AI & Learning” sessions
How can artificial intelligence support learning? Each evening, participants take part in a short, playful “AI & Learning” session, discovering how to use AI tools meaningfully – for example, to research, summarise, or develop creative ideas. It’s not about technology, but about digital learning skills – learning to use AI responsibly and smartly.

Philosophy: Empowered Learning

Friplica means: learning from your own strength, learning together, and learning for life.

We show young people that they don’t have to rely on teachers or tutors – they can take charge of their own learning.  And that learning is truly fun when it’s shared.

Why join Friplica?

- Learn how to study independently – without pressure.
- Benefit from others while helping your peers.
- Discover how modern tools (like AI) can support your learning.
- Enjoy a week full of community, motivation, and nature.
- Invest in yourself – meaningful, sustainable, and fun.

Discount: CHF 50 per subject for students who have achieved a grade of 5.5 or 6 (Swiss grading system = very good) in Mathematics, French, English or German.
The discount is not cumulative and must be indicated in the registration form.

A new way of learning. With Friplica, we want to open a new chapter in learning

A camp that doesn’t just teach knowledge, but inspires curiosity, independence, and mutual support. Join us – and discover how strong a learner you can be when you help others!

This is a sample programme. Activities and excursions may change depending on weather and other factors beyond our control.

Self-Learning sessions
Learning takes place in small groups. Each student brings their own study materials and goals – whether for exams, homework, or personal projects. Our coaches and team leaders guide you through the process, offering structure, motivation, and support.
The focus is on self-directed learning and peer-to-peer support: everyone learns with and from each other.

Workshops
We offer a wide range of workshops, including sports (football, basketball, volleyball, tennis, frisbee, American football, etc.), arts (painting, drawing, graffiti, dance, yoga, meditation, etc.), cooking, and much more.

Evening Activities
The best part comes at the end of the day! Every evening is filled with fun and energy – the perfect way to unwind and enjoy time with friends. Our evening programme includes disco nights, karaoke, board and card games, casino nights, movie nights, campfires, zombie and werewolf games, Sardines (reverse hide and seek) and much more. In addition, you’ll take part in our short and playful “AI & Learning” sessions, where you’ll explore how artificial intelligence can help you study smarter and boost your creativity.

EVENING ACTIVITIES

Evening activities are the shining star of our language camp program, saving the best for last! We always put in the extra effort to include each and every student into the activity that's planned for the evening, and those activities are: disco night, karaoke night, card and board games night, casino night, movie night, campfire, zombie & werewolf games, sardines, reverse hide&seek, and many else.

EXCURSIONS

Half-day excursions
Right after their language lessons and lunch, we take our students to one of the nearby attractive locations near St. Bernard camp, which might be:
Champex - a stunningly beautiful small village with a great fairytale-like lake
Salt mines in Bex may not sound way too attractive but we highly recommend holding onto our hand when we descend into the dark pit and the intricate labyrinth of the salt mines.
Col du St. Bernard - a famous historical pass which was hosting Napoleon and Hannibal in their respective time periods, it's a must-visit once you are in St. Bernard!
Adventure park La Fouly is a beautiful and quite physically engaging complex, we guarantee that our students will remember this one!

Full-day excursions
Aletsch glacier
is possibly the most physically demanding excursion our company has to offer but mark our words - it is worth every drop of sweat. Once you get up there on the altitude of little more than 4100m, you will witness the true greatness our majestic Swiss nature has to offer.
Sion - a city less than an hour drive away from St. Bernard camp, it has a rich history with a fortress in the middle of the city. Definitely worth visiting and spending a couple of hours there.
The Aosta valley is a stunning full-day excursion location in Northern Italy, where our students can experience all the beauties the Italian lifestyle has to offer, including hiking, rafting and pizza for dinner in one of Aosta's worldwide famous restaurants.
Emosson Dam is an architectural masterpiece with stunning hiking tracks and breathtaking panoramic views.

HORSE RIDING COURSE: 250 CHF per week
Join our horse riding course in Verbier, perfect for beginners to intermediates (not suitable for the experienced). Three times a week (Monday, Wednesday, Friday afternoons) with expert instructors in stunning surroundings.
